Did Kanekis Hair Turn Black Again
Hello my fellow Toyko Ghoul addicts, today I'thou going to talk nigh a topic that has been on my mind for a long fourth dimension and I'yard sure you have all thought of it at least once besides: Kaneki's infamous white hair. We know the reason behind his sesame pudding hairdo in Tokyo Ghoul:re was a result of the rc suppresents the CCG was giving him, yet a articulate answer to why his hair turned white has never been revealed. (And if a reason has been given that I just missed then I guess this whole blog is pointless and I'm just an idiot who needs to reread the manga again. If this is the case then permit me know with gear up proof ;westward;)

Today I'1000 going to share my height iii theories backside why Kaneki's hair turned white after existence tortured. Read alee with caution as there will exist spoilers for both the manga and anime.
》Marie Antoinette Syndrome《
Marie Antoinette Syndrome seems to be the theory that is the most widely accepted by the fandom. During the fourth dimension Kaneki was tortured he endured vicious mental and concrete corruption. The theory is simply that his hair turned white due to the intense stress his body and mind was being put through. This theory really has no other evidence to dorsum information technology up other than the torture itself.
In the anime his pilus change was used as symbolism to represent his full credence of his ghoul one-half.

As we know, Kaneki's hair began to turn back to it's original color because of the RC suppressants he was being forced to accept. The RC suppressants take a side effect of increasing the users melanin (the poly peptide that makes skin and hair nighttime) product, therefore explaining the change. My theory is that if a ridiculous corporeality of it is used during a short catamenia of time it can have the reverse effect, turning hair white. While Kaneki was existence tortured Jason injected the suppressants into his body hourly at most to ensure he wouldn't regain the strength to escape and get in so he would still be able to harm him. Such a large intake of suppressants could very well be the reason his hair turned white. Of class this is only a theory, there is no concrete show said in the anime or manga to back up this.

》Rapid Aging《
For those who have not read affiliate 131 of Tokyo Ghoul:re I'll just post the folio that explains how Kaneki is aging equally it is far more simple than me attempting to explain it and declining.
During Kaneki's torture his body was constantly healing the wounds Yamori was giving him. He was tortured past Yamori several times a twenty-four hours for a period of up to 2 weeks. His constant regeneration means his cells were dividing at a rapid rate. It is important to remember that while Kaneki is a half ghoul, he was born human. The regeneration pushed his human cells to split much faster than a normal humans should, and could have resulted in aging his torso. This aging could have turned his hair white, like how a normal person's hair turns grey when they grow old, except in Kaneki's case it happened much much sooner.
